Reasons To Support The PHA PAC

The American Hospital Association (AHA), our biggest opponent, currently has the 5th largest PAC in the country. The AHA and FAH together spent $8,094,223 since 2006 on their advocacy efforts (from the Center for Responsive Politics - www.opensecrets.org).

Representative Pete Stark (D-CA), Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) and Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA)… three powerful and outspoken opponents, and three great reasons to give to the PHA PAC.

In politics money = access. We need access to our politicians to educate them about who we are, what we provide, why we exist, and how we benefit patients, physicians, communities and the healthcare industry.

The efforts of PHA, and its PAC have proven successful in the past. Despite numerous and continued efforts to limit and destroy physician ownership, physician hospitals are thriving. But, we cannot count on past success to guarantee the future of our industry!

The PAC fund allows individuals supportive of the industry to join forces with peers and back candidates who champion the issues critical to physician hospitals. There is strength in unity and strength in numbers.
